Golden Valley Neighborhoods

The city of Golden Valley lies just west of downtown Minneapolis. Minneapolis is just minutes away with a multitude of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Residents value Golden Valley’s rolling, wooded landscape, its numerous employment and recreational opportunities, and its central location. Factor in good school systems, parks, and other City services, and Golden Valley continues to be considered one of the most livable communities in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Theordore Wirth Park offers great hiking and bicycling paths. This is the largest regional park in the Minneapolis Park system incorporating the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary, the J.D. Rivers’ 4H Children’s Garden, the Daylily-Perennnial Garden, a remnant tamarack bog, an 18-hole and a Par 3 golf course, and the natural woodlands that surround these features. In addition, water features include Birch Pond, Wirth Lake, and the lagoons of Bassett’s Creek.

Golden Valley has many neighborhoods you can call home. A few areas I specialize in are summarized below:

Tyrol Hills is located in the south-east corner of Golden Valley and is adjacent to Theodore Wirth Park. It is a hilly, forested neighborhood with a diverse housing style, from gracious Tudors to sleek Mid-Century Modern homes.

Wesley Commons in Downtown Golden Valley offers carefree urban living in condominiums and townhomes that are convenient
to the core of the city.

Hidden Lakes is a newer development that features luxurious villa’s, townhomes, and single family homes. It is nestled between Theodore Wirth Golf Course to the east and Twin and Sweeney lakes to the West. A small number of home sites are being developed on the lakes peninsula, and have water views on both sides.
